In the end of 2014 I was awarded with a M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology from Instituto Superior Técnico, in Lisbon. During my master thesis, I worked on the development of novel downstream processes based on aqueous two-phase systems and non-affinity chromatography techniques for the purification of monoclonal antibodies.
In 2015 I proceed my master thesis studies as a research assistant at Instituto for Biotechnology and Biosciences (IBB), at Instituto Superior Técnico. During more than one year I was integrated in a European project named “INTENSO” (funded by the European Union Seventh Framework Programme), which aimed the development of novel strategies for the integration and intensification of the downstream processing of bioproducts.
In July of 2016 I joined the MASSTRPLAN ITN under the project “Detecting lipoxidation: diagnostic tools for translation and commercial application”. I am based at Mologic, Ltd and my role is to develop new commercializable diagnostic tools for detecting lipoxidation in biological and clinical samples.
